Request Authentication

Historical Authority conducts independent authentication research on a limited, case-by-case basis. Each investigation requires the coordinated work of our multidisciplinary team and is therefore undertaken only when time, resources, and research availability allow. For this reason, we accept a very small number of authentication requests each year and prioritize cases that present clear historical relevance, unique provenance questions, or significant research value.

If you wish to submit an item or collection for consideration, please send a brief description of the object, any available documentation, and supporting photographs to requestauth@historicalauthority.com. Our team will review the request and determine whether the case aligns with our current research priorities.

Historical Authority does not charge for its authentication work. All investigations are conducted as part of our historical research activities, and only a select number of cases are chosen based on their historical importance and the potential contribution they may make to the documentation and understanding of the past. Due to the limited number of projects we undertake annually, we may not be able to respond positively to every request.
